I love this game so far! I'm more than capable of creeping myself out enough by just exploring, so I can't play games full of chases and jumpscares.
REM has great dream- and nightmare-like vibes. Not unlike what happens when I eat too many carbs before bed, the physics and visuals are consistently inconsistent.
The method to access the dream chart is clever. It's also easy to read.
I've enjoyed making changes and observing the effects, especially when I return to home base (home bed?).
I'm SO glad there is controller support!
I can't offer more specific feedback on graphics as I'm playing on a Mac using CrossOver (D3DMetal graphics setting). This can lead to visual artifacts and texture/shader issues Windows users don't have to deal with, especially in Unity. I'm NOT asking for a Mac version; I just wanted to let you know the setup.
Maybe I missed it, but it would be nice to have a link to your feedback form on the main menu. It triggered at an inconvenient time in-game, and I can't find it again.
I'm a huge proponent of being able to purchase the full version of a game on the same site where I play the demo. Please consider releasing it on itch in addition to Steam. I will happily buy it here!
I was deeply moved by the many fantastical scenes I encountered! The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful! As someone unfamiliar with Dreamcore games, I found it fascinating how planting flowers brought about changes in the dream world. However, as I explored more areas, repeatedly checking what had changed became a bit tedious. But it was a truly wonderful game, meow!
Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!! In the full release there will be more dream objects/links and less backtracking. I had to trim some out for the demo :)
